Hi Vince. You have great abs...what are your
favorite exercises or the ones you find most effective for deeper
cuts? Thanks Jason
Jason,
Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate that. Basically the
deeper abs come from using resistance at least once per wk, although
training abs in total 2 to 3 times per week. I never used to have
developed ab muscles years ago until I started incorporating
resistance training, now they started to build just like any other
muscle that you train with weights. Of course, your abs won't even
show through at all without proper dieting, which is essential in
having that six pack look.
Here are some particular exercises that have become some of my
favorites, and I suggest doing 2 sets of at least 10 - 20 reps per
set of each. Probably doing at least 3 different exercises per
training regimen:
- seated leg raises
- hanging leg raises
- inclined crunches
- rope pull downs
- seated ab machine crunches
Check out a good fitness magazine or consult with a trainer at
your local gym for more detail on each different exercise, and for
proper form. I always go with a form that really allows me to target
and feel the abs working. Also, remember to work your lower back as
well, which will balance out your midsection, for proper core
strength training. An example of this would be hyper extensions
(roman chair), or there is a fitness machine that works specifically
for this purpose.
I hope this all helps, and good luck to you in your own quest for
the perfect six pack!
Vince
