I have been working out for a while now and have been using Meso-Tech protein bars and protein shake products. What do you recommend or what should I be using?? Thank you James

James,
I'll do my best to answer this question, but it might hard due to the limited amount of information that you've given me. Since I don't know what your physique goals, I'll have to say that Meso-Tech bars aren't bad, if you're trying to add size. If you take a look at the nutritional facts, you'll notice that they have a lot of carbs and sugar (over 40gm of carbs I believe). Not good if you're trying to stay lean, but if you're trying to add size then some sugar won't hurt you. Plus, extra carbs are essential for adding mass to the body. If you are trying to get cut up, just eat a bar that's lower in carbs. I'd also suggest that you don't eat too many of these bars. Having 1 a day isn't bad. You should try to focus on getting a large majority of your protein from food. Don't rely on supplements for your main source of protein. They are just that, supplements. They should be added to the diet and not take over your diet. If you want to have a bar because you don't have time to cook, or you're in a hurry, or at work, or just want something sweet without getting yourself in trouble with your diet, go for it. Supplements are a very quick and efficient way to get protein in the body. I also eat protein bars every now and then. I usually have 1 or 2 bars a week, and maybe 1 protein shake a day. Any brand of protein bar or shake is fine also. Just make sure you look at the ingredient list before you buy the product. Make sure the product contains high quality protein. Any type of Whey protein is good. Casein is good to. Try to avoid Soy protein when you buy a protein product. Soy does not contain an amino acid profile suitable for muscle growth.
Good luck and train hard! Ricky Gonzalez
