As a model it is very important to have a good abdominal section. Designers often ask me to walk the runway either shirtless or with an unbuttoned shirt. I played football throughout high school and college and basically use the same routine I did as an athlete. As far as my training schedule for abs, I hit them hard about three times a week after my Monday, Wednesday, and Friday workouts. You do not need to train your abs every single day, that's a myth.

I train them for basically 30 minutes a week. Three ten minute workouts. Believe or not, I do one exercise. Some people do 3, 4, 5 or even six exercises for their abs, that is not the case with me. The one exercise I use is hanging leg lifts. That's all I need. This exercise brings on results very quickly. 3 sets after Monday's workout,  3 sets after Wednesday's workout, and 3 sets after Friday's workout.

I make sure every rep is slow and controlled, rushing through reps will only slow down results. Make sure to keep proper form while doing the exercise, otherwise your cheating. Cheating results in no results. It is also important to rest for only 1 or 2 minutes between sets, resting too long will give your abs a chance to re-cooperate.

Diet wise I try not to eat too much junk as to maintain low body fat. On any given day I eat breakfast around 8:30am, which would probably include cereal, a banana, and a cup of juice. I tend to eat light in the morning. After workouts I usually eat a good wholesome meal. I am from the islands so that usually consists of rice. I get my protein through eating a lot of chicken or turkey. I don't like it fried, usually baked. I also enjoy eating tuna, fruits, and plenty of vegetables. Pasta is my favorite for carbs.

Try to stay away from high glycemic foods (snacks, processed foods). This will only serve as a barrier in you achieving your goals. In order to see quick results you must have a decent diet. Most importantly, you must have patience. Don't expect results after day one.....it takes time.

Along with drinking H2O throughout the day, breaking your eating habits up into small meals throughout the day will also help you in your fitness. We as Americans developed the 3 meals a day routine. We eat before we go to work. We eat in the middle of the day as a break from work. Then, we eat our big meal after work. This is NOT optimal for the human body. Your metabolism will work harder and 'go faster' if you eat smaller, nutritious meals 5 or 6 times throughout the day. These are just a few tips on how to achieve great abs.

I wish you the best of luck during your workouts.
