How Did You Get into Fitness?
I set up a home gym when we moved into a new house, but
it took a year for me to start using it. I love working out at home now - no
distractions.
What Workout Plan Works Best For You?
I'll do my Stairmaster for 40 minutes of cardio then do
40 minutes of weight training one day, and then I'll do Cardio dance with
weights for 60 minutes. Another day for a total body workout. I use my Gold's
Gym for a total body workout every other day. I also use 10 or 15 lbs dumbbells
to mix things up. I usually do 15 reps/3 sets of moderate weight, since I build
muscle fast.
What Nutrition Plan Do You Follow?
Diet is the hard part. I like a lot of food, so low carb
high protein works for me to lose fat, build muscle and keep me satisfied.
Typical day is oatmeal with walnuts and yogurt for breakfast, salad with chicken
for lunch, beef jerky for a snack, and a protein, green vegetables, and salad
for dinner. For desert (which I have to have) I eat a sugar-free chocolate
pudding.

To prove to myself that I can still look and feel good
at 47, an age where I could chose to be very complacent.
