Week
2 is finally over and I say that as it seemed like a long week. As you know
we were camping up at Tahoe and of all the weeks this one was going to
somewhat difficult. But I stuck to my diet, not cheating once, which was
tough with all of the snack food that was lying around. For breakfast I
brought my egg starters and oatmeal. I usually had almonds or a protein bar
for a snack in between lunch. For lunch I made chicken, tuna, fish, and
peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. If I felt drained I would pop an apple
or have some cottage cheese. I found that I needed some sort of snack that
felt like I was camping so 2 or 3 times I had some lean beef jerky which
helped with the protein fix. For dinner we had lean turkey meat which made
an excellent chili, salmon over salad, hobo stew with chicken, and other
normal protein type dinners. I made sure to drink a ton of water which was
good because it was damn hot!
I rocked my cardio every day by riding my road bike. I woke up early in the
morning when everyone was still sleeping and went for an hour ride around
Donner Lake. It was a beautiful way to start each day! In the evening we
would usually go for another bike ride with the family. Unfortunately I was
only able to use the workout bands twice during the trip. It seemed like we
were always doing something during the day and when we returned I felt
exhausted.
Looking at the side photos from this week vs. last week I can tell the size
of my arms and belly has decreased. At first I thought my arms are
shrinking… But then I realized that I have fat around my arms and that is
disappearing. As much as I wish that my belly fat would come off first it
just doesn’t work like that. This week I am going to hit the weights hard as
I want to see some major changes in pictures for next week. Thanks for
sticking with me and have a great week!
