So
how does Larry keep those
abs
in great shape?
I've
been training for about 2 years now. In those two years there have been
several times that I've wanted to give up and just stop all together. I
quickly realized giving up just isn’t an option, consistency and
dedication does pay off and I’m now seeing that. The hardest body part
to keep up and improve on at the same time is my abs, which I’m sure
you can all sympathize with. Over the last year I’ve really cleaned up
my eating habits and worked out harder, which has helped me sculpt a
great set of abs.

I remember before I had any abdominal definition I would visit sites
like this and see these guys with flawless stomachs and realize that I
just wasn’t trying hard enough. That’s the key to this business, you
have to train hard and stick with it. You know guys there are times that
you will want to just give it all in, there will also be times where
you’ll just want to take a week off and eat McDonalds, but you have to
get into a mindset, where you keep focusing on your ultimate goal.
For
me the biggest improvement I saw in my stomach came from an Inversion
Rack. The whole hanging upside down thing is hard to get used to at
first but it works. When you’re on the rack you can only use your
stomach muscles. You can’t stick your feet under a couch and use them
to help you, it’s all stomach. Traditional sit ups never really worked
for me, that’s not to say they won’t work for you, I just think
resistance based exercises work much better.
Right
now were all going through the "off season", where we take
some time out to add a little muscle bulk before cutting down again for
the summer months. You should never have a break form training during
the winter months, it’s important to keep training hard throughout.
Push through the winter so when summer comes around your body is twice
as good as those who sat around and got fat! I don’t personally have
an off season, that’s why I keep lean and trim all year round. I found
if I break for winter I will be at least two steps behind everyone. So
just keep up the cardio through the winter along with your weights
workout and you’ll be on the right track.
I wish you all the best of luck
Larry
