Hi Guys

 

My name is Jessica Wakefield. To

keep in shape I hold down one key

principle - Diet. Diet is so crucial

when it comes to keeping lean and

toned and I've found the High 

Protein - Low Carb approach to work

best for me. I'll typically stick to

70% protein, 20% carbs and 10% fat,

made up of 5-6 smaller sized snack

meals throughout the day. 

 

I'll try to eat the majority of carbohydrate expenditure in the first four meals of the day, decreasing towards the latter part. I'll intake fruits, fiberous vegetables and grains, with a portion of protein in each meal, typically grilled chicken or turkey, fish or a protein supplement.

 

As far as training goes, I make sure I hit the gym five times per week without fail. I have a rotating schedule with my weight training workouts, where I'll change the exercises every two-three weeks to help stimulate growth and development. As for cardio, again I try and switch things around every so often, incorporating different degrees of intensity.


Abdominal Training

 

To maintain good abdominal definition I'll hot my abs hard three times weekly using a combination of exercises like leg lifts on incline, hanging leg lifts, crunches and some various resistance based ab machines. I won't always stick to specific rep ranges, I'll try to work to burn out or failure with three good, intense sets.
