Well, that is a good
question by the way and to answer it honestly...YES, it probably
isn't the best idea to more or less "binge" all weekend....lol.
From my own
personal experience, back a few years ago when I was trying to
reach my desired goal, I was very serious about staying on track
to arrive at my goal quicker. Once I achieved my goal, then it
was much easier to cheat through the weekend and be right back
on track come Monday. In your case, if you have not reached
your desired goal first, it will just take you a lot longer to
ever reach a point to where you are completely comfortable with
your body. I always advice people to stay on track and focused
to reach your physical goals since you will be a lot more
fulfilled at that point. Otherwise if you cheat all weekend,
then it will not only take longer to ever reach your goals, it
is also very hard to continue going back every Monday and trying
not to eat the sweets and stuff since you've never allowed your
body to get over the cravings...its like a chemical thing which
takes at least two weeks for your body to loose its craving for
sugar stuff. Almost like trying to quit smoking or something
like that.
I hope that all
makes some sense. I certainly want you to go out and enjoy your
life with your friends, not to be a slave to a diet or anything
like that. Think of it as a lifestyle change....and only take it
to where it doesn't compromise your life too much.
If you can
stick to the spirits like vodka, whiskey etc. and also red or
white wine and leave off the beer and lager it will be better
for you. All the empty calories in beer will only lead to adding
more fat!
Good luck Roy, and
let me know if you have any other questions or need advice along
the way.
