I do
apologise for the late submission of this week’s entry. I led a field trip
to
Wales
and was exhausted after the long hours travelling up and down the country. I
was using a community boxing gym, and 2 other regular gyms that were pay per
visit
This
was one tough week. I had work coming out of my ear holes, exams for both
myself and the students I teach to prepare for, and the possibility of
gaining more work hour slots meant that I was always doing something for
week 6. As a result, my diet wasn’t a strict, rather, I followed a similar
approach to Vince,
where I ate something healthy and high in protein and or fibre every 3
hours, keeping the majority of my carbs in the first 8 hours of my day.
Training
was relatively straightforward, although I have started using kettle bells
for certain exercises, especially when targeting the shoulders. They’ve
brought out my forearms quite a bit, and helped with my general coordination
even more. I’ve kept machines to a minimal amount because I’ve been
using different gyms, plus machines are assisted exercises, so our
stabilising muscles don’t get used. I placed a lot of emphasis this week
on chest and shoulder workouts for that matter. In general, I think that my
training and diet suffered slightly, since I was using an unfamiliar gym and
I was generally away from home (where I was staying), and I was eating a few
bits and pieces here and there. Nothing substantially unhealthy or definite
no no’s, but let’s just say, there’s no place like home. Furthermore,
I want to stick with the diet as much as possible.
A
local swimming pool was situated within a 2 mile vicinity of where I was
staying. I frequented it about 4 times during the week. I’ve really
improved on my front crawl because of this and my chest and shoulder
workouts. Towards the end of this week, I was doing 25 laps on a 25m pool,
which is a considerable amount of calories burned!
Other
than eating healthily, I have also taken a few natural extracts such as
green tea to clean out my system. Some of these extracts can actually be
sold in a safe all natural pill form: Lean
System 7 (LS7)
Lean
System 7 is a
compound of natural substances such as guarna citrus and green tea extracts
that help raise the metabolic rate of a dieting athlete. I’ve been taking
LS7 for nearly two weeks, however, I was reluctant to discuss it in my last
2 reports for 2 reasons:
1 – I was sceptical of its effectiveness
2 –
More importantly, I didn’t want readers to immediately buy huge quantities
of this supplement and begin on an un-prescribed dosage.
LS7 takes a synergistic role with regular exercise and healthy eating by
working with a good input. I think of LS7 similarly to my protein
supplements – Inferior to a good meal. However, the majority of us are
usually too busy to constantly be cooking meals, and protein drinks are a
lot more manageable on the go.
